101 Things in 1001 Days

Hey! Anyone else out there doing 101 Things in 1001 Days? In January 2016 (that was two years ago, whatttt?!?!), I noticed some fashion bloggers that I follow posting their lists, and I really wanted to start my own. I’ve never posted my list on this blog, so I wanted to share it today along with a little progress report.

It’s essentially like a bucket list, except that you choose 101 things to complete in 1001 days (rocket science, I know). I started mine on January 30, 2016, and it will end on October 27, 2018 (a day after my best friend’s birthday, hi if you’re reading, LYLAS). I’ve actually already started planning my next list once this one is over, but today I’m just going to focus on my current goals. Please note that I may have left out a small handful of very personal goals.

  • Create a list of 101 Things in 1001 days (January 2016) [this one was a cop out, I know]
  • Read five classics (The Great Gatsby in June 2016, The Jungle in August 2016, A Clockwork Orange in August 2016, The Gambler by Fodor Dostoevsky in September 2016, Swann’s Way by Marcel Proust in November 2016, I also read As I Lay Dying and Breakfast at Tiffany’s as a bonus) [I’ll probably up this number on my next list, because this goal was so enjoyable to complete]
  • Read ten new books (Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee in February 2016 [tip: don’t read this book], The Gospel According to Coco Chanel by Karen Karbo in February 2016, Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan in April 2016, Marcel Duchamp: The Afternoon Interviews in June 2016, The Devil Wears Prada in July 2016, Eligible in November 2016, Tuesday Nights in 1980 in December 2016, The Perfume Collector in December 2016, Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife in February 2017 [I’ve read this before but I really wanted to re-read it, not as a seventh grader], The Four Agreements in March 2017) [I’ll up this number too]
  • Get a camera (September 2016)
  • Make a list of things I love from Pinterest tags (February 2016) [remember when Pinterest had tags? No? Me neither.
