My summer break has officially come to an end, and I’m so sad! This entire two-week vacation was 75% relaxing and 25% new experiences — a great ratio because I feel oddly calm after just doing whatever I wanted every single day.
Break started off with a trip to Florida with Evan to visit my parents and dog (Tony), and to visit Disney World. This was my first time EVER visiting Disney (that seems to surprise a lot of people) so we did the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I’m not a rollercoaster person, so we didn’t do any major rides, but we did a ton of classics likes Pirates of the Caribbean, The Jungle Cruise, and the space/future ride in the Epcot ball. The drop in Pirates of the Caribbean made me scream like I was being murdered — even that was too scary for me. We also took tons of photos with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. It was wonderful seeing my parents and Tony!

Back in the city, I spent the rest of break hanging out with Evan and crossing things off my “August Break Goals” list. I did some fall clothes shopping (mostly at Uniqlo), visited some of my Chelsea haunts for old time’s sake, went to the Museum at FIT, got lunch in mid-town with my best friend, went to MAD Museum, spent a ton of time walking around Central Park, tried a new brunch spot, and spent hours and hours just reading Phantom of the Opera & a new book I bought at MAD Museum.

Even though I don’t want to go back to work after such an extended vacation, I’m ready for the changing weather, fall fashion, and the holidays.
That’s all for now! Stay tuned, because I scheduled a fall Stitch Fix box for next weekend!
