Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely Halloween. I’m checking in today for another autumn Stitch Fix review, though I did ask for warm weather clothes again. For this fix, I was excited to see that Stitch Fix rolled out their “inspiration” section to me. I previously saw that other people had this feature on their account, and I was excited to try it out. It’s essentially like a Pinterest board where you can upload or save images directly for your stylist. I uploaded some of my core mood board images that I picked out when I was working my way through The Curated Closet, a book by Anuschka Rees that my parents got me for Christmas last year (I promptly had to abandon this project due to COVID because there’s a lot of emphasis on going to stores and trying things on, but I can’t wait to get started again when it’s safe/possible). This is a screenshot of my board:

Here’s what I got:

Rails Sophia Tie-Waist Romper ($168) — This was a lovely button down animal print romper with a tie waist. It felt really high-quality and fit well. I could’ve probably sized down, but in the end I decided to return this. I just don’t think I have many places that I’d wear an almost $200 animal print romper. First of all, the print is pretty bold. Second of all, I don’t like the idea of having to take the top portion off to use the restroom. I stray away from rompers for that reason.

Steve Madden Jadie Leather Heel ($89.95) — These are really good basic heeled sandals. I actually already have a pair of black leather sandals from Land’s End ($34 on sale) that are almost identical to these. Returned.

Kaileigh Coeta Mixed Material Blouse ($42) — I love the idea of this shirt. It’s black, has a fun clip dot throughout the front, and has sheer sleeves. When I tried it on, though, it immediately made me uncomfortable. It just looked very boxy. Returned.

Vigoss Ace High Rise Button Front Short with Frayed Hem ($48) (another color linked) — These are the black shorts of my dreams. You’ll probably notice in my Stitch Fix posts that I always try on tops with my favorite pair of Madewell button jeans. These are the short version of those! I love the buttons and distressed design. These were a size four, and they had a massive gap at the waist, so I tried to exchange them for a size 2. They only had a 0, so I got those instead. There’s a lot of stretch to this, so I’m hoping a 0 works out…but trying not to get my hopes up (Update: just received these before posting and they were perfect)!

Michael Stars Teyana Knit Cropped Jumpsuit ($128) (similar linked) — My stylist, Anna, said that she saw I liked the idea of a black jumpsuit from my last Fix (even though the last jumpsuit she sent was way too long). I liked this jumpsuit because it was extremely comfortable, but I can’t get over the price! I know I could find a similar option for around $15 elsewhere. The quality just wasn’t there. Returned.
Thanks for reading!

Man some of these were very pricey! I did like the shorts on you but I couldn’t stand more than one button on my pants lol. IMagine having to really go to the bathroom and having to undo all those buttons! Great fix though!!!
