Athleisure + Loungewear Stitch Fix Review | March 2021

Good afternoon! Excited to have yet another athleisure + loungewear Stitch Fix review for you today. If you read my last review, you’ll know that I didn’t end up keeping anything and requested a fast-tracked replacement box. It arrived right on time and I was really impressed to see that my new stylist, Avery, sent a solid selection. I was super impressed with the style note that she left for me — I could tell that she thoroughly read all of my notes. She noticed that I preferred fitted tops, liked blush for loungewear, etc. I really appreciate that!

For this fix (as you can see above), I requested black yoga/workout leggings and sports bras/tops. Here’s what I got:

Toms | Paxton Suede Sneaker with Faux Fur Lining ($79.95) — I appreciate that my stylist sent black sneakers after I returned the white New Balance sneakers I got in my last box. I’m glad that she listened to my feedback that I prefer black sneakers, but these simply aren’t my style. I’m not a fan on Toms overall, and these hurt my feet when I tried them on. Returned. P.S. These is highly discounted on Nordstrom’s site (linked above) if this is your style!

Threads 4 Thought | Triblend Fleece Slim Jogger ($58) — I was excited to get these because I love wearing blush/pink accents for loungewear. These would look really nice with my gray slippers and any of my loungewear tops. They were comfortable overall, but the legs were too long. And the biggest issue for me was that they were see-through in the back. I would never leave the house in these, but I still don’t want to be walking around the apartment with aggressive VPL. Returned. P.S This item is also discounted on Threads 4 Thought’s website, linked above.

MPG Sport | Dashing High Waisted Performance Capri Legging ($48) — These were the exact cut, rise, and inseam I was looking for in black workout/yoga pants. Unfortunately, the fabric felt pretty rough. The compression was great, but I prefer softer fabrics in my leggings. Also, the seam on the butt portion was pretty low, giving the illusion of a sagging butt which isn’t very desirable. Double also: please note that capris really are like pants on me. Returned.

Market & Spruce | Zansia Curved Hem French Terry Knit Top ($58) — This top had some pros and cons. The pros were that it was extremely soft and would’ve matched anything in my closet (I like that it matched both the leggings and sweatpants from this box). But the shoulders were too slender for me — the seam didn’t sit right. Returned.

Beyond Yoga | Harlow Space Dye Crop Performance Tank ($66) — Ahhhh (*angel choir*) — this tank is absolute perfection! I had been meaning to try Beyond Yoga for so long, so I’m glad Stitch Fix sent this to me. I’m amazed by how soft this tank top is. Beyond Yoga is known for their buttery fabrics, but this exceeded my expectations. This is perfect for yoga and lower impact workouts, and it’s the perfect length to just hit the top of my yoga pants. I’m doing Tone It Up’s yoga sculpt challenge right now, so this was great timing. Kept! I’ll probably buy this in more colors, and want to get matching leggings. And an extra bonus is that I had so many credits on my account that I got this for free!

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading!
